Coronavirus (COVID-19)

INFORMATION FOR OUR CUSTOMERS

In line with government guidelines relating to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, our stores are once again open for business.

We are monitoring the situation carefully and will continue to follow the advice of the Government and Public Health England. To make sure we are operating as safely as possible we will return to a ‘new normal’ rather than immediately operating ‘business as usual’.

As an independent, family-run business our customers and teams are incredibly important to us and are doing everything we can to provide the highest levels of support to protect our customers and team.

 

How can I buy from Jim’s?

To help satisfy our customers we have three ways you can place an order:

  • Phone orders: We are taking orders over the phone as usual. Just call us on 0113 831 4310 and we’ll guide you through the process.

In full compliance with government guidelines, for those customers who prefer to see products in real life before they buy, we’re now also open for drop-ins and 1-to-1 appointments.

  • In-store drop-ins: Operating in line with social distancing practices we are now able to welcome customers back to the showroom on Kirkstall Road. Like supermarkets and other essential shops the number of customers allowed in store at any given time will be limited, which may at times, make a short wait outside necessary.
  • 1-to-1 appointments: For customers who prefer a 1-to-1 experience or need to avoid a potential wait, we are also able to offer pre-arranged appointments.  Each appointment will be allocated a 1 hour slot, a maximum of two adults living at the same address will be welcomed and they may be accompanied by children who are living at the same address. The safety of our customers and team is absolutely paramount so a 2m distance must be maintained between Customers and the Jim’s team at all times.  Hand sanitiser will be freely available and we will be wearing masks.

Upon arrival at the showroom, both drop-ins and pre-arranged appointment customers will be asked to confirm that that they, and everyone living at their address:

  1. Have NOT displayed possible coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms within the last 14 days.
  2. Have NOT opted to self-isolate as a result of being: Aged 70 or over, a vulnerable adult, or pregnant.

 

Outstanding orders and queries.

We are working as quickly and efficiently as possible to resolve all queries but please bear with us as we manage the transition back to full capacity.  In the meantime, please email all outstanding queries to [email protected] or contact our central-line at 0113 831 4310 (option 1).

 

Can I still receive deliveries of goods and installations?

Yes, our flooring deliveries are continuing to take place. You will receive a pre-delivery call and will be asked the following two questions:

Have you or anybody living at this address displayed possible coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms resulting in any of you having to self-isolate?

  • IF YES – We will cancel the delivery and rebook at least 14 days later
  • IF NO – We will proceed with delivery cautiously. It is critical that you exercise social distancing by keeping 2 metres away from the delivery team. They have been advised to do the same and this will help keep both you and them safe.

Have you or anybody living at this address opted to self-isolate as a result of being: Aged 70 or over, a vulnerable adult, or pregnant?

  • IF YES – With your agreement, we will deliver to your doorstep or outbuilding/garage
  • IF NO – We will proceed with delivery cautiously. It is critical that you exercise social distancing by keeping 2 metres away from the delivery team. They have been advised to do the same and this will help keep both you and them safe.

 

Can I still collect my materials?

Yes! We are still offering a contact-free collection service from our central warehouse, once on-site please proceed to the collection area at the rear of the building, and follow the guidelines in place.

If you have placed an order for collection, we will contact you when your order is ready to collect. Please do not travel to store until we confirm your order is ready for collection.

At this unprecedented time, our teams are working hard to ensure you can collect your items in a safe and secure way. If delays or issues occur, please be considerate to our team and other customers.
